We called this after dark because that is when sound does its best work. In the dark, visual noise drops away, frequencies you missed during the day come forward, and time starts moving at a different speed. It is about what the ear can do when it is finally in charge.
We believe sound is the key to perceiving reality: time, memory, the feeling a place leaves long after you leave it. This is where we keep what sound does to the ear: frequencies and their histories, half-true legends with true longings inside them, the places where the science ends and the poetry keeps going. Everything here is something we found and could not put down. Sonare is Latin for to sound. The worlds open as they come true, and it is open all night.
The name carries a second word inside it: sonARe. Sound is the original augmented reality. Close your eyes. The world is still standing, built entirely through the ear.
